
Bio
Born in Queens, New York, Jane Haimes has lived and worked in various parts of Manhattan for the past 39 years, living on the Lower East Side since 2006. She has exhibited widely in New York City, and in other parts of the United States and Europe. Some of her works on paper are presently with Pierogi Gallery Flatfiles in Brooklyn, and she has shown with noteworthy New York galleries such as O’Hara, Nancy Hoffman, Denise Bibro, and Michael Walls. Jane attended Cornell University and the Tyler School of Art in Rome, earning a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting with a minor in printmaking.
She is a recently retired professor, having taught since 1997 in the Foundation Arts Department at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
